3500 sprinter 2013 question on emissions test in Utah

19,800 miles on 3500 sprinter van could not complete the emission test possibly due to inadequate “drive cycle” We recently at 19,300 had a check engine light on that was handled during a oil service.
Advise we were given was drive 500 miles or several tanks of fuel. also someone said 30 starts and stops of ignition.
Is there any advice on this issue so we can pass a Re-test in Utah? Thank you in advance
