My 2002 (44K miles) 230 SLK Kompressor won't start.

What is your question?

Car has been sitting for several months. Won't start up even when jumped. New battery placed and still no turn over or even any indication of starting. Dash lit up with new battery. Once the new battery was placed, opening the driver-side door caused the alarm to sound. Wondering if this action has caused the computer to close down. If so, is there a cycling routine I must go through to reset the alarm and allow the ignition to work? Is this possibly the starter relay fuze? Please advise and thank you.
