Hello, The key being stuck in the ignition is likely from years of sitting through weather cycles. Try using something that vibrates against the lock cylinder, this may free the key, allowing it to complete rotation for removal. Also, wiggle it like crazy, but don't break the key. If the car sprang to life as soon as the battery was jumped, there is likely an issue with the ignition switch. This is likely related to the key, as the grease in the ignition lock cylinder will congeal over time, leaving small, hard pieces in the ignition that clog, bind, and jam things into failure.
