mercedes s550 dead but has power

have 2007 mercedes s550. today we went to start and it was dead. checked batteries and they both have 12.5v . push button doesnt work so we removed and used key. lights dont work, power seat doest work, lights start dim on dash and all indicators are at minimum and ext tep shows 185f. when we turnkey to turn on nothing happens. can put into gear but thats all. tried jumping to see if we see a change and we dont

What makes this problem better or worse?
