My radio up and quit ,no volume but the radio comes on but no sound

I have a 2000 s500.I am a mechanic. I tried resets checked wires and blogs til I was just frustrated. then checked fiber optic system and led to lh side truck.if signal broke then no sound. So remove amp and cd player. (Don't over bend optics). Good fuse but power connector to cd player corrosion. To fix I noticed a clip in cd player optic line and one in amp line. So I put optic out of players clip put in amp line clip removing cd optic bypass and my sound was back. Resolved. Good luck.check amp fuse first.
