What is your question?
I have spent a lot of money getting this fix. Each time the advisor says there are many components. Last time I spent 1800.00 to replace a line a bracken (I ran over a freeway curb). That was in December. Now I just took the car back Wednesday, 4/13. The power steering went out again. This time he says it the pump; it's leaking. Another 1800.00. This seems unreal that there are so many components and the power steering can go out again. I brought the car in 2020, used. The advisor say someone replaced the pump before, grey market. I was never told it had been replaced the first time they worked on the power steering. It is very frustrating because the advisor keeps charging claiming the car is old with a lot of mileage. At the rate I am going I have a quarterly . I don't know if what they have fixed caused my problem.

Hello, it is definitely an aged vehicle -- newer to you perhaps, but unfortunately 17 model years old. And yes, with age - things deteriorate and require repairs. Worse yet, with suspect parts being installed previously, not only do those parts that were replaced run a high risk of failure, but components related to inferior parts installed can also risk a higher rate of failure related to poor quality parts being used in the system. Not your fault, indeed, but still it's your responsibility at this point to navigate since it's now your vehicle. You can always consult another repair shop near you to get a second opinion -- and, I think it'd be a great idea for you to assess the overall condition of the vehicle so you know what you're really up against going forward. Side note -- running over a freeway curb doesn't really have to do with the quality or components of the vehicle... I know you know that, but it does demonstrate an unfair relationship with other failures that are not at fault.
