What is your question?
So I got a Mercedes s500 2003 car for my birthday and it's been working well since It was fixed. But now ever since this hurricane that hit down at the end of September it has 3 things acting up first off it was the windshield wipers they were acting funky for a bit but still worked but once day they just completely stopped turning on I hear the electrical part working but not the wipers going, next the headlights went they stay on dim no matter what I do ofcourse the car is still on now if I turn the car off they go off, now the engine fans are going crazzzzy sounding like a turbo jet me and my dad looked under the hood and it looks alright now over heating or anything but it was spinning the fans like crazy So overall what do you think could have happened I believe it might be a water leak happened and ruined the fuses if not can you give me an idea on how and what to fix
How long has your 2003 Mercedes-Benz S500 had this problem?
A week and half or so

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sounds like your 2003 Mercedes S500 might have gotten a bit too cozy with that hurricane! Water damage could definitely cause electrical gremlins like wiper motor issues, dim headlights, and crazy fan behavior. It's possible that moisture got into the fuse box, relays, or control modules, leading to these problems. Start by checking for water in the fuse box and around the engine bay wiring harnesses. Corroded fuses or relays can cause the symptoms you're seeing. Drying things out and replacing any damaged components might do the trick. If not, it could be a more complex electrical issue that needs a deeper dive.
