Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. The door and trunk locks on your S500 are controlled by a pneumatic pump, often located in the trunk on the left side behind the trim. This pump generates the vacuum needed to operate the locks. If your key fob lights and alarm are working but the locks aren't, it could indicate an issue with the pump or a related component. Start by checking the system fuse. If the fuse is good, you might try testing the pump with a diagnostic tool or a multimeter to check for power or a potential wiring issue. If needed, a technician familiar with the system can inspect or replace the pump to restore full function to your locks. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
