What is your question?
The car runs superbly right until the moment-usually at a traffic light, that the engine very unceremoniously and without shudder or miss, dies. The car starts right back up as if nothing happened, but it is becoming more and more frequent. Replaced the main engine wiring harness, electronic throttle body, ignition coils, spark plugs, crankshaft position sensor, alternator and voltage regulator, and nothing seems to help. The dealership has no suggestions other than replacing the Engine control module and base module. Any suggestions? The car is FULL of new parts including the entire ride control system and many major engine components and I don't have the heart to scrap it-she and I have been through a lot together. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance!

hey my 2000 s500 is doing the same thing!!!!! ive been 2 three different body shops and every one telling me that only the dealer can reset the computer in my car !!!!! and when I took it to the dealer they said they have to replace the throttle body fuel pump and many other things ive already replaced so basicly over 8,000 dollars worth of work to find the problem!!so I course I said hell no!!!!!! so the car has been just sitting for the past 4months!!!!!!!! so I thinking about junking it also tell I seen your problem!!!!!!!!! so did the fuel filter work in your case?
Im having my Engine Control Module (ECM) rebuilt at AES Control Modules. Great Service, about $420 for the rebuild of MY part and a lifetime guarantee. They said the ground for these goes bad and that apparently has been my problem all along. The dealers are BS and only want to sell you parts-try these folks...you send in your part and they will do a diagnostic for about 80 bucs and if there is no problem they will send it back and all youll be out is the diagnostic fee....AND they program it for your VIN-so no dealer. You will have to have someone take it off and put it back on-Im lucky I have a great mechanic. Best of luck!
Great do you have the number? And where are they located?
