Battery is dead and trunk won't open with the switch or key. Is there a alternate source to get a charge to get trunk open for the battery

Hello, To access the trunk with the battery dead, some of the older S-class have a battery post under the hood for jumping the battery, but most do not. If you do not have a positive post underneath the hood, remove the carpet, foam mat, and metal backing plate in the passenger front floorboard. There you will find the main lead from the battery, and a smaller lead going to the engine compartment. If you connect the new battery (or another vehicle) to the smaller positive lead and the ground cable to the bolt sticking out of the floorboard, you can open the trunk with the remote to access the battery. Make sure to connect the positive cable first and disconnect it last in all scenarios pertaining to battery or jumper cable removal an installation.
