Immobilizer will not unlock car so car won't start

What is your question?

Had locksmith come round and make new key with immobilizer in it. Have to manually unlock door so car won't start. Is it correct that if you dont unlock door with remote computer will not recognize any key

What makes this problem better or worse?

Engine won't start
