Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your GLC300's nav system is feeling adventurous, huh? When navigation systems start taking the scenic route—or inventing their own—it’s usually due to outdated maps or a glitch in the system settings. Try resetting the navigation system by powering the vehicle off for a few minutes, then restarting. Also, check if there’s a setting that prioritizes backroads or avoids highways; sometimes, these settings can change unexpectedly. If that doesn’t solve the problem, it might be worth checking for a map update or even a software update for the whole infotainment system. The dealer can usually help with this or guide you through a reset that could clear things up.
