I just bought a used 2019 MB GLC 300 Coupe. Both of the key fobs work when you push the buttons, but not if you just walk up and try to open the door handle keyless. I'm afraid to try to change the battery in the key fob because I'm worried it might lock something up for security purposes and I won't be able to drive it at all.

Hello, I'd suggest seeing a local shop or dealership to help replace those batteries properly and successfully. Most often, they don't bother charging anything but the battery cost. If it still doesn't work, make sure you have the key fobs in a place where they are not blocked by cell phone or any other electronic interference. Radio waves can be restricted, so keep them freely in an unobstructed pocket or bag on your person.
