Hi John, Remove the drain plug from the transmission pan, use a screwdriver to push up the fill tube from the drain plug hole, and all the fluid will pour out. Remove the small rubber grommet on the bottom of the bell housing, rotate the engine until the drain plug for the torque converter is exposed, remove it, and drain it as well. Remove the transmission pan and change filter as normal, replace the single piece pan gasket, the copper seals for both drain plugs, and the fill tube, and reassemble. Fluid must be pumped into the transmission pan from the drain plug hole, which is actually a drain/fill plug. The transmission fluid level is verified by pumping in approximately the correct amount of fluid plus one quart, starting the engine and leaving the transmission in neutral, and allowing the transmission temperature to reach 35C-45C. (That is an approximation, not straight from the manual). Once the transmission is at this temperature, remove the pump from the transmission pan, and allow fluid to run out until it stops; be sure to leave the engine running. Once fluid stops pouring, install and torque the pan drain plug, the torque converter drain plug should have been installed and torqued before filling.
