Problems with the Torque Convertor?
Motor vibrates through specific speed bands. Shifting into neutral and slowly increasing revs: no vibration. Only seems to happen when vehicle is in gear. 220000Km's

2008 GL CDI bought new 2009, in Canada, Have towed 8000# Airstream trailer all over USA & Canada, from time to time. No previous transmission problems but sometimes used to clunk, when I put it in gear. Transmission paddle shifters work fine. MB Dealer diagnosed and Replaced Torque Convertor. Flushed and replaced transmission Fluid. Starts OK BUT has problem shifting into gear, reverse more than forward, when engine is cold but especially when the car has been parked nose down overnight. Almost feels like brakes are on? (Not the case!). May stall a few times if cold. Runs fine, shifts smooth once it gets warmed up. No noticeable clunking when I put it in gear now. Could the problem be low transmission fluid level or wrong type of Fluid? Too Viscous i.e. heavy.
