Won’t shift out of park after jumpstart

Hello, hard to know why until checking into the components that release the shift lever. Check for blown fuses. Check for function of the brake light switch. Do your brake lights light up when depressing the brake pedal? If not, there could be a problem with the brake light switch or wiring.
