in smog test diagnostics said catalyst and oxygen sensor were not ready.before the test battery was dead,so the guy told to drive 100 miles for driving cycle set up.But car failed in the test.This time two oxygen sensors were replaced.I drove 300 miles,but it failed again in t6he test. mechanics kept telling me to drive more.It cost $520 to fix the sensors

If the battery on your 2001 Mercedes-Benz c320 is not holding charge the sensors may never show ready for the emissions test. They will be reset every time you start the car due to low system voltage. Make sure you have a good battery and the connections are clean and tight and the engine is cranking over normally when starting. If the engine is cranking slowly that problem should be checked and corrected first.
