how do I remove front core support?

I have a 1988 420 SEL and a 1991 420 SEL. The 1988 stopped running(jumped time I think) and I had bought the 1991 with front end body damage. It needs a radiator, fan, valve cover, hood and passenger side front fender, along with both head lights. The front bumper is intact, no frame damage that I can tell. I want to use the 88 to repair the 91 and I am new to body and fender repair. Can I remove the front nose as one whole unit? Is the core support welded or bolted on? I would prefer to keep the integrity of the front end, by removing it in one piece. I wish I could find more information on the web for my car. Please, if you have any sources of information that might be helpful to me, I really need the help! Thank you in advance! Wendy
