Going up a hill with the accelerator to the floor my car struggles?

This sounds like a classic catalytic converter failure or plugging up. You probably do not have any check engine lights on as the catalytic converter doesn't have any for itself but might trip an o2 sensor. Have catalytic converter checked but this does sound like the issue.
