What is your question?
I am considering purchasing a 1992 Mercedes Benz 400SE with 244,000 miles. It is in emmaculant physical condition inside & out, however I've yet to drive it to see how it performs. Based on the history & reputation of a Mercedes, do you think this would be a good investment?

No, I would not buy this car. This car is 'long in the tooth'. it will need a timing chain job ( $3000+ ) and will need a trans ( $4000+ ) . There is a reason why the person is selling it. Older Mercedes can be a money pit, unless you have lots of money, then go for it. I would stay away. Good Luck!

Yes, I own one and it has just over 300.000 and is still gong strong. I wouldn't trade it for anything.It's truly a tough car.

I did have the trans rebuilt, and it was only $1600.00, also I had the timing change and the guides done. IT cost me $2100.00.But that with any car with that kind of miles,But it drives and run just like a new one to me. So if you like that car go for it. Trust me it will be worth it.
