Instrument cluster

It could be the body control module or the instrument cluster itself

The Anti-lock brake System (ABS) and the Anti-Slip Control (ASR) are part of the same system in a modern car and share most of the sensors and use the same CPU, so it follows that their lights would come on at the same time. If the Instrument Cluster is having problems, this will trigger the ABS and ASR lights because they both use the Instrument Cluster as a gateway. If the link or cluster malfunctions, then the Power Train computers can not see what the ABS is doing and that alone will trigger the lights. In my experience with German cars with these types of problems, I would first try to log in to the ABS/ASR computer. If you can not, then I would Inspect the Instrument Cluster. I have found that if the major speed sensors go out for the ABS system, it will trigger the lights and the Speedo will malfunction. I hope that this explanation is not too technical, but you can take it to your shop and they should understand it.
