why running fast seems not to have the power it should have

seems not to have the power it did seems to want to run faster eng. light comes on and off but all gauges are fine isnt not running hot at all smells like it is hot to me at times but it is the hot weather at this time of the year also has a about 2222 klt itsine ibe said that the stearing is out alittle but i bout it used seems to handle fine.on a very small buget does all of this seem to be a large job some one told me about 2 hours please help this old grandmother to prove to myeslf i never did to bad thanks so much and please send answer to email
