What is your question?
In order to start the car, I must constantly push the clutch pedal in and move it slightly up and down while turning the key to start the car. It appears that something is out of adjustment. What can be done?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It appears to be getting more difficult to find the best clutch position to start the car
How long has your 1999 Mazda Miata had this problem?
This has been going on now for a few weeks

There is a clutch switch at the clutch pedal assembly that indicates to the starting system that the clutch is depressed and it is ok to engage the starter. This switch could be loose, faulty or out of adjustment.
