What is your question?
It is winter and very cold outside I have an automatic starter and I start it and all I get is cold air. I also started with a key and it’s cold air. I’ll drive it for about 10–20 miles and then it starts to heat up and give me some heat to defrost the windows and heat in the car for warmth. Can it be my water pump is the heating element not working? Why will it start to go warm and then when I slow down goes back to being cold?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Yes it is worse when the engine is cold.
How long has your 2007 Mazda 6 had this problem?
Once before for several days in the Winter then it cleared up. And now it is starting back up this Winter. I’M cold in my car and usually it has a really good heater. Will this cost me to find out any informations?

Hello, it is very normal for your engine to not reach operating temperature for maybe five or 10 minutes after driving. Sitting and idling does not get you enough warmth from the engine to create heat for your interior. Certainly is happening faster than not remote-starting to begin the process, but it is not like you have a "heating element" that creates heat for the inside of the car -- you have to get the engine to operating temperature. If it is extremely cold outside, as it likely is in Colorado, then you will not get sufficient heat from your ventilation system until probably 10-20 minutes after driving. I don't know about 10-20 miles -- certainly it could be that your thermostat is opening prematurely and not allowing the engine to get to and maintain a proper operating temperature. You should see a local shop near you to measure the engine's temperature cold and see what the "warm up" cycle is like to get to proper operating temperature, which is sustained.
