I have a belt on the drivers side of the engine that won't turn when car is started making a horrible squealing noise. What could this be? Noise does not stop at all continues even when accelerating.

One of the pulleys is locked up so what is not working ? Is your battery light on, does your power steering work, does your a/c work? if all are woking then its a bad idler or tensioner pulley.
