external headgasket leak

What is your question?

was told several months ago that my vehicle had a slight evap leak, light came on (ck eng Light but comes on goes off not on at present, no running problems so far. Had vehicle towed in for no start and asked them to check for oil leak as I was beginning to see stains in driveway. Tech cleaned area and I was told to bring back in two weeks, , stated I possibly had external head gasket problem but unable to determine for sure at this time. By driving the vehicle can I blow the headgasket, they said it would be alright. If I do need headgasket can u supply estimate and what is involved and does anything else need to be done while they r repairing headgasket 9if needed)

What makes this problem better or worse?
