What is your question?
My friend wanted to try out the car and when I got back in it. It smelt like burnt clutch or even a very old fart... (no other way to describe it). The clutch felt lighter than usual and when accelerating in first gear the car stutters a little bit, it's not smooth. But in other gear and downshifting is all fine...
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when making a little bit faster acceleration (from 0 km/h)
How long has your 2013 Mazda 3 had this problem?
4-5 hours

Hello, it is possible your friend was very aggressive with your vehicle, or not adept at driving a manual transmission. It is impossible to guess at what was done and even how long the car was driven, and so forth. Clutch wear could have occurred and the mating surface could have some warpage from heat, causing some "stuttering". This may even out, and hopefully will improve, but if excessive wear has occurred, you may need to repair the clutch. There is no physical inspection possible for a clutch disc, so it is impossible to know if it has been worn excessively.
