My mechanic says the abs system isn't working on my mazda 3. What will it cost to repair it? The brakes are a bit soft. He has replace the brake pads but it hasn't solved the problem. He is pretty sure it is an abs problem.

Hello, what are the symptoms you are experiencing? Do you have any warning lights on? The ABS system -- or anti-lock brake system -- is meant to provide extremely quick pumping action of the brakes when you stop quickly / emergency stop. If this system is not working as designed, or a fault is detected, the warning light will illuminate and diagnostic trouble codes will set. If your mechanic is not aware of what is wrong with your brakes, find a new mechanic who has skill and experience with a critical safety component of your vehicle! https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/mazda-repair-and-service-in-san-francisco-california
