Hello, it is possible that there could be a concern in the evaporative emissions system, but it's totally a guess. Nothing replaces a good diagnostic test while the problem is occurring. A fuel pressure test should be performed also, but it could even be a different engine performance issue related to spark or air intake as well.
Hi,I replaced the Purge Valve and cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor but it still happens unless I keep the tank at least 3/4s full. Could it be the fuel pump or its hose that sucks air when it gas gets lower. Thanks, Dean
