What is your question?
I'm looking for a reasonably-priced solution using new OEM parts. Currently car has HID lamps (23,000V)... however driver's side has a fried transformer and passenger side has severe damage to lens. Does anyone offer solutions other than HID-halogen? I'd rather have traditional bulbs or Xenon bulbs, but every parts site I visit offers only HID parts. I'll go with halogen if it's the only reasonably-priced solution. I want to replace everything... assemblies/new lenses, bulbs, transformers (if needed) and wiring (not the full harness that goes through the firewall). My budget is hopefully less than $600. Thanks.
How long has your 2008 Mazda 3 had this problem?
I just bought car a few weeks ago.

Hello, I'm thinking your budget will not be rich enough to handle the significant repair work needed. It sounds like it had aftermarket lamps in causing damage? The factory equipment really won't do that. I wish you luck on your search, but the ballasts themselves will probably exceed your budget, let alone the lamp assemblies.
