Not terribly common to my knowledge. Depending on the mount that is broken, it could be anywhere from $125 - $200 installed. It is very necessary to replace a broken motor mount. A motor that is not secure in the subframe will cause many potential issues, a lurching sensation on acceleration, and possible driveshaft strain.
