What is your question?
Driving like normal, hear a loud sound from inside the cabin coming from the passenger side. Almost sounded like a motorcycle. Checked under the hood and nothing seemed unusual, then while driving out of no where I heard a pop noise saw a little white smoke and the car was no longer running. Belts look fine.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Unsure, the car will not crank/start, or even attempt.
How long has your 2006 Mazda 3 had this problem?
Today only, randomly.

As far as the engine turning goes, someone should put a manual breaker bar on the crankshaft and see if it turns manually. If it's binding, you have an internal engine failure. If not, checking for the reason for the stall and no start via normal engine diagnostics will lead to the answer.
