Once the a/c comes back on it stays on for a couple of days w/o any problem; suddenly stops blowing and compressor does not come on at all; this happens every 2 days or so; I don't touch controls or switch; works just fine when it is running; dealer told me it needed blower motor...????? Tried to take to have diagnostic but a/c wouldn't quit while at the mechanic - go figure! What could this mean?

Not sure if this is the exact problem that I had on mine, but I found a bad relay for the blower motor in the underhood fuse box. The blower motor would not work at all but all of a sudden it would come on and run for a few days then quit again... Also make sure fuse #76 is okay as well as this powers up the relay that I'm speaking of. Fuse 76 is inside the car under the glove box ... hope this helps
blower motor makes sense. when the blower stops, the ac ices up and stops working or shuts down. Why not believe the dealer? tell them you want a refund if the problem persists. get it in writing. you have to believe someone. Roy
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 that it's at the dealer right now! I had the exact same problem but when I would tell them about it or take it in, the AC would be working!!! It finally stopped and I took it in right away. It's still not working. Sure enough, it's the Blower Motor.
