What is your question?
My 2011 Lincoln town cars tail lights just one day stopped working. I can’t drive it at night because I feel like it’s a bit dangerous for other drivers that can’t see me. I replaced the fuse (#26) thinking that would be the problem, I replaced it multiple times, actually. & Every time I replace it blows as soon as I turn the car on. I ordered a light switch and replaced that and again replaced the fuse. And AGAIN fuse blows. I’m at a loss here, everything else works.. Blinkers, headlights brake lights, just no tail lights and I’m assuming also no automatic headlights lights. Please help meeee
How long has your 2011 Lincoln Town Car had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! When that #26 fuse keeps blowing in your Lincoln, it usually means you've got a short circuit somewhere in the system. Since it's the tail lights that aren't working, the issue is likely in the wiring for those lights. A damaged wire might be grounding out, causing the fuse to blow every time you turn on the car. It could be anywhere from the tail light housing, where the wires could rub against something, to the wiring harness running along the frame. You're right to be cautious about driving at night. You might want to have a mechanic trace the wiring to find the short. It could save you a lot of headache (and fuses) in the long run.
