emergency horn goes off when doors are locked

What is your question?

My 2009 Lincoln Town Car's emergency horn goes off at random times after its doors are locked either remotely or with a key. The beeping does not happen if the doors are unlocked. I can stop the beeping remotely by pressing the fob's emergency button or its unlock button.

What makes this problem better or worse?

May be worse in inclement weather, but I haven't tested this theory.
