what can I check ?

If your talking about the blower motor for the heater, check fuses. You more than likely have two fuse boxes one in the cab and one in the engine compartment. Look for one marked blower (blwr) or HVAC.
When you say "heater won't turn on" do you mean it doesn't blow out the vents or just no heat.
both , no heat and it wont come out vents.
where are fuses located ?
there are 3 common places in cab fuses are located. 1) when you open your drivers door, if there is a portion of dashboad that sticks out paralel to the door when it is CLOSED there can be a fuse pannel there. 2)Under the dash on the driver side in the vicinity of your brake pedal.3) Some time OE manufature will put a fuse box behind the glove box as well. Now with all of that being said, i would consult the owners manual for the exact fuses box location in the cab and under the hood BEFORE i start pulling on body pannels and glove boxes.
