Rear axle

What is your question?

Was changing a flat,had to do it on a hill.While changing tire,the car rolled back and fell to ground. Was able to get car lifted,put on spare tire,and drive home.When car fell i noticed,"what i think is the axle"broke. Could the axle have broken,or could it be something else?? Car drove fine,no noise,shaking,anything.

It hard to comment with out seeing what appears to be damaged. If the rear axle was broken there would be an oil leak, loss of drive, rubbing noise or some other associated problem. Do have it checked out in case there is a problem not apparent right now.

It takes a lot to break an axle. What makes you think you broke an axle? If the car drives fine, no noise, shaking, etc., then what are you worried about?
