I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE PEOPLE WHO DO MAINTENANCE ON MY CAR THAT EACH SEPARATE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY/HOUSING WILL COST $1000.00 EACH. I WAS ADVISED THAT I HAD TO PURCHASE THE COMPLETE UNIT WHICH INCLUDES THE HEADLIGHT AND ASSEMBLY. ARE THEY RIGHT?

You can get them off of Ebay for around $100-$200

If the condensation hasn't caused damage to the assembly you can remove it,take out the bulb and use a hair drier to get rid of it. Then drill a small hole or two in the back of it to prevent it from building up again. Also , before reinstallation put a thin coating of silicone sealer around seams where the gaskets are.
