loud snapping noise under dash

Roy, can you explain the blend door motor for me, does it have anything to do with the heater core, that was replaced two years ago. Sounds like almost a repeat of that work, dashboard has to come out. can it be fixed without going that route.

it is outside the heater case and moves the mode door. the worst case is that the dash has to be moved out enough to get to it. Roy
