What is your question?
My cars temperature gauges climb steadily and then the car shuts itself off. I keep having coolant loss also. What could be the problem? I've had the thermostat & housing changed already. Also when coolant is low I can hear a rattling sound, like a piece of loose metal flying around under the hood. UPDATE!!!!!! Just found out my reservoir tank has cracks in it just underneath the cap. This is where my coolant is leaking from. May have to replace this tank???

Glad you replaced your tank! LOL. But I would go ahead and replace the thermostat too! My Lincoln blew a hose and showered the parking lot with antifreeze once on a trip because of a stuck thermostat. I would go ahead and flush the system too when it is replaced.
I would replace the tank and check for other leaks and verify that the temperature is OK. I worry the overheating is not caused by the reservoir, unless you're driving it until the coolant is so low it starts to run hot. I would find the source of the noise, water pump? Radiator fan?
