Unless there is something unusual about your 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII the head light bulbs should be replaceable. Perhaps the headlight lenses have discolored and that it the reason for replacement? Perhaps you should check with your local Lincoln dealer for another opinion to make sure what is necessary to get your headlights working properly again.
