code reader P1518

I have found that Intake Manifold Runner Control Actuator goes Bad for Code 1518. Manifold Runners will be stuck open. Location of Intake Manifold Runners: Locate Passenger Side 1st, Driver Side very Cluttered w/components. Passenger Side, Back of Engine just about in line with last "LOWER" Intake Manifold Bolt and just below "BASE" of Intake Manifold. You need to be on Top of Engine to see or under vehicle. Driver Side Opposite of above. The Actuator Control Unit has two Control cables running to Driver & Passenger Intake Manifold Runners. Mounts flush Driver Side Back of Engine and "LOWER" than Manifold Runner and more to the right, Mounts to back of the Head I believe. All the Mark VIII components does make a very tight fit and hard to see.

Lonestarbar, I am just starting out today with the same problem. Did you ever get yours fixed? How? Care to give me an idea of how hard /easy it was to find another IMRCA? Thanks, Andy Andy
