Ticking noise en engine (passenger side)

There was an old service bulletin referring to noise from a VCT solenoid -- Variable Camshaft Timing. For a rough idle and rattle noise. This may or may not be related to your concern, and was never recalled -- merely a service bulletin to assist technicians for troubleshooting was issued. Testing should bar performed and then go from there.
