What is your question?
Just bought from dealership that did full inspection and maintenance. But when i accelerate harder than usual, a burning smell arises but then goes away shortly. It’s got 116000 miles on it. Just wondering if this happens with this car often and if not what might be causing it?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when I am speeding, better when I’m casually driving.
How long has your 2017 Lexus IS200t had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Check for the presence of any plastic debris stuck to the vehicle exhaust system. Sometimes a plastic bag could get trapped on hot exhaust and burn on - and may take some time to fully melt off and dissipate. Otherwise, most burning smells would come from fluid leaks touching hot engine or exhaust components. Check for oil leaks from the engine and transmission areas. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
