When i push the start button it wont start but all warning lights come on. I push it again without break on everything goes off. Push button again with brake on it starts. Why?

Normal operation. The car will only start with your foot on the brake. Without your foot on the brake it will be in accessory mode. Basically it will turn on all the electronics but not the engine. Alex

I know that but sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont when i push the start button. What can cause that?
