What is your question?
On 12/5/12 at 44,787 miles all four of the wheel bearings were replaced at Land Rover of San Antonio, part of the Cavender auto group. I heard a roaring noise and they found all four hub bearing assemblies needed to be replaced. The cost was $2,231.62 . I appealed to them that my wife drives this car, to and from work, then to the stores. I called the parent company and they paid $1,000.00 of my bill. On 12/20/13 at 61,100 miles I drove my wife's car and heard the rear end making noise again. I thought perhaps it was the tires I purchased at Sears. The tires were good but they had two mechanics confirm it was the rear bearings. I went directly to Land Rover of San Antonio and they said they only warranty the work for one year and that I am 15 days over. I told them they are either useing defective parts or do not know what they are doing. They also told me to go and call Land Rover of America myself and see if they will help. Also last week, while closing the sunroof the right guide bar fell off . The cost of repair, $565.00 My 53 year old wife only drives to and from work on the interstate and to the stores. This car has never been off the pavement. My question, how long should sealed wheel bearings last?

The dealer parts should last several years. Have seen 2nd line after market parts fail in less than a year. The top line after market parts like Precision, or BCA have been very good for me, and they have at least a 3yr warranty now days. Don't know what parts they are using, but it looks like you need to stay away from that dealer, Not Good Customer Service to me. By the way the sunroof is a common problem with those.
Just looked at 2 Repair Pal certified shops in San Antonio, just a thought to keep the Dealer HONEST.
Quick note: I also own an LR2. Heard same noises. Suspected rear bearings however my dealership said rarely if ever have they replaced them on an LR2. Most likely the differential. Much more expensive. About $2300. : ( your dealer may have replaced the wrong parts
Thank you for the reply. I am not a mechanic by any means. I have owned many vehicles in my life time and never had Wheel bearing wear out.
They do from time to time, but not normally all at the same time, that's unusual. Get a second opinion from a professional shop, maybe try the find a shop tab on this website. I'm 3-4 hours north of you and that would be to far to drive it.
Well, for now I am going to wait to see how Land Rover of America responds with the dealership. I felt it to be very strange that all four wheel bearings wore out last year, and now 380 days later the rear bearings are worn out again. Never had any car I have owned has this happen. Strange days indeed.
