What do I do when the ignition won't release the key?

See you asked this just recently. Just bought a '95 LR disco, same problem. Turn key back on (do not need to start), foot on brake, move shift to neutral and back to park, then key will come out. Also may need to turn steering wheel slightly if yu stopped as turning, as in a curved driveway. BTW, I was cruising the web looking for LR problems, and note that there is a recall (from 1999) on 95 LR that airbag can deploy when not in a crash, supposed to be green paint on screw under steering wheel cover if it was fixed, otherwise will call LR with vin number and see if was fixed or DIY 15 min fix if it was not.
