The battery seems low in cold weather, the engine turns slowly & fails to start
What is your question?
Ive replaced the battery a year ago & the glow plugs & its fine until theres cold weather. Also it has the same problem if it hasnt been used for a few days. Any suggestions guys?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Very cold weather

Diesel engines are inherently hard to get started in cold weather - battery MUST be robust enough and be fully charged to CRANK the engine sufficiently so it will start.
A slow CRANKING diesel engine has little chance of starting - especially in ‘cold’ temperatures!
Thats very helpful, cheers.
Jump start - replace battery, whatever - got to spin the engine fast enough so it will start ..
Yes will do. I think Ive not been doing enough milage, just geberally short trips, so battery hasnt been getting charged.
