There was a gray foam strip hanging from underneath the front end does it need to be replaced

I noticed something hanging from underneath the front end of the truck and I reached and was able to pull it off. Do I need to have that piece replaced. It’s a gray foam strip that was taped like underneath the cover piece in the front of the car.
What makes this problem better or worse?
There seems to be no problem

It could have been a piece of protective transportation foam that most imported vehicles have applied for the journey into the country.
