What is your question?
I have a 2001 Kia Sephia and it will not start. I believe the gear is not all the way in Park. This has happened before but I put it in Neutral and then cut it on. Now the Gear won't even move at all. The emergency release slot was working to put it in gear (using a small screwdriver) and now that no longer works either. So now my car won't start and I can't move it into any gear. Help me Please!!!! :(.

The most common cause your vehicle will not come out of park is a brake light switch issue, at the pedal. You must depress the brake pedal to release the shifter...and the shifter lock is looking for the brake light signal to release the shifter. If there is no signal from the switch, the shifter will stay locked. Couple that potential issue with the fact you may have a linkage that is out of adjustment, and you do have a frustrating situation! Good luck.
